Schwan Voluntarily Recalls Ice Cream Citing Possible Health Risk

The following Schwan's Home Service product is involved:

The product was available for catalog or Internet purchase from Schwan's Home Service, Inc. by
consumers nationwide January 2007-2009. If you have any of this product, please contact your

The issue was discovered when a peanut ingredient supplier to Schwan's stated that it had
shipped product to Schwan's that was sourced from Peanut Corporation of America in Blakely,
Georgia.

"Our number one priority is to provide safe, high-quality food to our customers," said Jeff Varcoe,
Vice President of Schwan's Food Safety and Quality. "We are voluntarily recalling this product as
a precautionary measure to ensure our customer's safety and ask that they return any unused
product to their Customer Service Manager on their next regularly scheduled visit."

Oklahoma Firm Recalls Frozen Chili Beef Products That May Contain Foreign Materials

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2009 – Windsor Quality Food Co., Ltd., doing business as Windsor Foods, a Tulsa, Okla., establishment, is recalling approximately 676,560 pounds of frozen chili beef products that may contain foreign materials from an ingredient source, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.

Turkey Hill Dairy Announces Voluntary Recall of Select Ice Cream

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- LANCASTER COUNTY, PA (January 30, 2009) – Turkey Hill Dairy of Lancaster County, PA, is voluntarily recalling six select ice cream and frozen yogurt items because the products contain ingredients that have been voluntarily recalled by our suppliers.

Turkey Hill’s recalled products contain peanut pieces sold by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), the current focus of an ongoing Salmonella investigation by the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA). On January 28, the FDA expanded its investigation to include all peanuts processed by the PCA at its plant in Blakely, GA, since January 1, 2007, including dry and oil-roasted peanuts, granulated peanuts and peanut meal, in addition to peanut butter and peanut paste, which were the initial focus of the investigation.

Galliker Dairy Announces Voluntary Recall of Rocky Road Ice Cream and Sundae Nut Cones Because of Possible Health Risk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Johnstown, Pennsylvania (January 30, 2009) – The Galliker Dairy Co. is voluntarily recalling all three-gallon containers of Galliker-brand Rocky Road ice cream and Galliker-brand Sundae Nut Cones sold to foodservice and retail outlets in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The Rocky Road ice cream is packaged in three-gallon paperboard containers with a paper lid. Products with code dates (lot numbers) of 008-08, 086-08, and 176-08 are being recalled. These lot numbers are printed on the package labels that are found on the lid and sidewall of each container. No UPC is contained on the package.

The Sundae Cones are individually wrapped and distributed in a 24-pack paperboard box. Products with codes dates prior to 01/29/10 are involved. These code dates are printed on the outside of the paperboard box. No UPC is contained on either the box or the cones package.

No other Galliker Dairy products are impacted by the recall.

The Company initiated the voluntary recall in response to an expanded recall by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). Peanut Corporation of America Expands Nationwide Recall of Peanut Products PCA Announces the Voluntary Recall of All Peanuts and Peanut Products Shipp

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Lynchburg, Va. (January 28, 2009) – Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) is voluntarily recalling all peanuts and peanut products processed in its Blakely, Georgia facility since Jan. 1, 2007. Previously, PCA announced a recall of peanut butter and peanut paste. PCA sells its products to institutional and industrial users for service in large institutions or for sale and further processing by other companies. PCA does not sell peanuts or peanut products directly to consumers in stores.

PCA is not aware of any complaints or reports of illness involving the additional peanuts and peanut products subject to this expanded recall. PCA is acting out of an abundance of caution and with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s help to recall all products manufactured in its Georgia facility. PCA is voluntarily taking this larger recall action following almost two weeks of inspection and review at the Georgia facility.

The expanded recall includes all peanuts (dry and oil roasted), granulated peanuts, peanut meal, peanut butter and peanut paste. All of the recalled peanuts and peanut products were made only at the company’s Blakely, Georgia facility; the lot numbers and a description of the products being recalled are listed at the end of this release. Creative Energy Foods, Inc. Recalls Nutrition Bars Due To Possible

ALDI has two suppliers who manufacture the Cambridge cheese crackers with peanut butter, one of which is Kellogg's. As a precautionary measure, as of Jan. 15 ALDI and Kellogg's voluntarily recalled the Kellogg-produced peanut butter crackers due to industry reports of salmonella at affiliated plants, though no illnesses have been reported regarding these Kellogg-manufactured products. The second manufacturer of our cheese crackers with peanut butter does not use the peanut plant where the salmonella outbreak was reported. These bars are being recalled out of an abundance of caution because they contain peanut paste which has the potential of being exposed to Salmonella at the Georgia manufacturing facility that makes this ingredient. Although extensive laboratory testing has indicated no Salmonella contamination to date in any Supreme Protein bars (including the lot #’s listed below), we are taking this step as a precautionary measure to ensure the utmost safety of our products. Supreme Protein, Inc. is voluntarily recalling specific lots of the following products that contain peanut paste manufactured at the Georgia peanut butter plant:

-- Supreme Protein® brand Peanut Butter Crunch Bars (20, 431 and 86 gram sizes)
-- Supreme Protein® brand Caramel Nut Bars (20, 50* and 96 gram sizes)
-- Supreme Protein® brand Caramel Nut (Energy) Bars

Both the Ohio manufacturing facility and the peanut paste used in these bars have been tested extensively for the presence of Salmonella and to date, all test results have been negative. In addition, Supreme Protein has not received any consumer complaints of symptoms related to Salmonella.

Supreme Protein requests that consumers check the lot numbers of any of the above-listed products they have purchased. The lot number can be found under the fold on the back of the wrapper of the individual bars and on top of each box of bars. If consumers find that they have these products in their possession marked with any of these specific lot numbers, they are asked not to consume the products. Voluntary Recall Issued for ShopRite Peanut Butter on Toasty Crackers and ShopRite Peanut Butter and Cheese Cracker Snacks

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- January 24, 2009 -- In cooperation with the FDA, Kellogg Company is today issuing this advisory regarding a voluntary recall of two varieties of ShopRite brand peanut butter sandwich crackers because they contain peanut paste produced by Peanut Corporation of America and the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The two recalled sandwich crackers are:

ShopRite Peanut Butter on Toasty Crackers, all sizes;
ShopRite Peanut Butter and Cheese Cracker Snacks, all sizes.
These two sandwich cracker products were manufactured for ShopRite by Kellogg Company. ShopRite has stores in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Last week, ShopRite removed these products from its store shelves after Kellogg issued a precautionary hold. In addition, any consumer who purchased the recalled product and used their Shoprite Savers Card has received notification via ShopRite’s automated system which calls and notifies shoppers impacted by a recall. While ShopRite’s calls reached nearly all of the purchasers of the impacted products, this advisory is being issued as an additional precaution for ShopRite customers.

Giant Food has voluntarily recalled two Simply Enjoy dessert sauces because the product could be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

Giant says the products are Simply Enjoy Chocolate Peanut Butter Dessert Sauce and Simply Enjoy Coffee Caramel Dessert Sauce. The grocer says the sauces' manufacturer, Stonewall Kitchen, said parts of the manufacturing process did not meet food safety standards.

Whole Foods recall Carob Energee Nuggets

The recalled products were distributed to Whole Foods Market stores in California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. The product comes in a nine-ounce, clear plastic package with a label reading "Whole Foods Carob Energee Nuggets" and bears a UPC of 999482-000274. All lot codes are being recalled.

(Jan 21, 2009) – Chef Jay's Food Products today announced a voluntary recall of some of its branded food products that contain peanut butter because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled products contain peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). As you may be aware, Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) voluntarily has recalled certain lots of its peanut butter and peanut butter paste because these products could be contaminated with Salmonella. Chef Jay's Food Products has identified (5) five items that contain the specified lots of peanut butter recalled by PCA. The following products, in all sizes and packages, with the "Best By" dates ranging from 06/Sept/09 thru 16/Jan/10 are included in the recall:

Rain Creek Baking Corporation Announces Voluntary Withdrawal of Peanut Butter Turtles, Peanut Butter Baskets and Peanut Butter Princesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Madera, CA, January 22, 2009 – Due to the expanded recall of Peanut Butter Corporation’s peanut butter earlier this week, Rain Creek Baking Corporation announces a voluntary withdrawal of Sinbad and Rain Creek Baking Company branded dessert products produced with peanut butter because the products have a potential of being contaminated with Salmonella.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the peanut butter desserts.

The recalled products contain peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). PCA is the focus of an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter.

Items affected by recall are listed below. Items will be marked with either an “exp” (as in expiration date), “best before” date or a lot code. The expiration date or the best before date will read July 22, 2009 and prior. Lot numbers are 08182 sequentially through 08366 and 09001 sequentially through 09022. These lot numbers can be found on the bottom label next to the ingredient statement.

Due to this investigation, the company has immediately ceased manufacturing any items with peanut butter and has segregated all finished products of concern. While none of the Sinbad and Rain Creek Baking Company branded products have been identified as contaminated or linked to any illness, Rain Creek Baking Corporation is requesting that the peanut butter dessert items be removed while the FDA continues its investigation to verify the source of a nationwide outbreak.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- January 22, 2009 -- The South Bend Chocolate Company today announced they have extended their voluntary recall of candy to additional products because they contain peanut butter from Peanut Corporation of America, which may be contaminated with Salmonella.

These products were sold via internet sales, mail order and may have been sold nationwide through our distributors to retail stores

Candy impacted by the recall is all sold under The South Bend Chocolate Company brand name and was produced on or after July 1, 2008. The candies under recall include:
