FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Newton, WI -- April 1, 2009 --- As a follow up to the voluntary recall of roasted shelled and inshell pistachios announced by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. on March 31, 2009, Pine River Pre-Pack, Inc. Newton, WI announced today that it is voluntarily recalling small packaged items of Pine River-Deluxe Mix Nut with Peanuts, which are listed below, as a precautionary measure because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.

To date, the Company has not received any reports of illnesses in connection with the items listed below.

Consumers who have recently purchased the items listed below should not consume this product and should return it to the distributor for a full refund and/ or replacement. The Company is also asking its customers, such as distributors, fund-raiser distributors and other food processors who have resold or further processed the recalled items, to notify their customers that the items listed below have been recalled.

The following small packaged items have been sold under the Pine River brand to various distributors and fund raising distributors in the following states: AL, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, VA and WI.
