IFS Announces A Nationwide Recall Of Pistachios
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Dover, NJ -- April 7, 2009 --- International Foodsource in cooperation with FDA is voluntarily recalling certain pistachio products because they may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. International Foodsource initiated the voluntary recall in response to the expanded recall by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. The FDA and other regulatory agencies have been investigating Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. due to the potential contamination with the Salmonella organism. The FDA has advised that pistachios produced by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. from crop year 2008 are subject to recall.
