Source of 6 E. coli cases sought

Snohomish Health District officials are investigating at least six confirmed cases of E. coli, a bacterium often spread by contaminated food that can cause people to become seriously ill.
In rare cases, E. coli O157:H7 can cause kidney failure and death.
Dr. Gary Goldbaum, health officer, said Friday evening that while at least six cases have been confirmed, health officials still don't know what caused people to become ill. read more
