Hain Celestial Voluntarily Issues Nationwide Expanded Recall of Certain Ethnic Gourmet® Chicken Pad Thai

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Melville, New York, February 2, 2009--The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. of Melville, New York announced that it is taking the precautionary measure of recalling certain Ethnic Gourmet® frozen foods because they contain peanut products supplied by Peanut Corporation of America, which is the subject of an FDA investigation concerning recent Salmonella outbreaks. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.

The expanded recall includes additional lot codes for Ethnic Gourmet Chicken Pad Thai. These products are distributed nationally to supermarkets and other food stores, and sold in the frozen foods section.
