FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Ankeny, Iowa (February 4, 2009) – Casey’s General Stores, Inc. is voluntarily recalling the following items because it has the potential to contain salmonella:
Casey’s Bridge Mix
6.5 oz Bags UPC 98437 12003
The only packages concerned have “Best Before” codes dates of 090909 and 093009. The code date is shown on the back of the bag above the UPC code.
Casey’s Peanut Clusters
7.0 oz Bags UPC 98437 12001
The only packages concerned have “Best Before” codes dates of 051609, 051709 and 051909. The code date is shown on the back of the bag above the UPC code.
Casey’s Salted Peanuts
5.0 oz Bags UPC 98437 21002
The only packages concerned have “Best Before” codes dates of 121108 and 011009. The code date is shown on the back of the bag above the UPC code. This product is unlikely to be found on the store shelf as can be seen from the Best Before dates above, all this product is already older and out of code. Never the less, on the chance that there could be any product left over or at a home, it was felt that a notice and recall was the appropriate step to take.
Casey’s Santa Fe Trail Mix

The only packages concerned have “Best Before” codes dates of 012309 and 020809. The code date is shown on the back of the bag above the UPC code.
Casey’s Trail Mix

The only packages concerned have “Best Before” codes dates of 020809. The code date is shown on the back of the bag above the UPC code.
These products were shipped to Casey’s General Stores in IA, NE, SD, MN, KS, MO, IL, WI and IN.
